Five marine species out of seven species in the world can be seen in Sri Lanka. Green turtles, Leatherback turtles, Loggerhead turtles, Hawk’s Bill, and Olive Ridley are the constant visitors to the golden beaches at Kosgoda and Balapitiya. You can witness the awesome spectacle when turtles are nesting at night close to the Rakawa Turtle Conservation Project under the sea marine life conservation.
